The Journey
This is an invitation to Return of the Druid Rose, an 11 Day Devotional & Pilgrimage through the veils of the feminine mysteries, oracular wisdom, and ecstatic trance, as we embark on an initiatic quest in a land rich in the living legends of the Marys and the Magdalene.
We commence our journey as Venus, as the Evening Star aligns with the Moon, bringing us into the Rose Gate of the Heart. So our inner quest is mirrored in the Earth and Stars as we pass through the gateways of the feminine heart, purification, anchor & compass.
Arriving in the misty valleys of Aude, our journey is initiated by the crystalline waters and ancient stone, beginning our immersion into the teachings of the feminine heart.
Here, we exhale into the deep holding the land has for us.
Here, we soften into our animal bodies to become one with the wild river, at home amongst the mossy rocks, allowing our hearts to be purified by the undulating rhythms of the land, awakening codes of revelation and freedom, as we dance the winding path laid by the Magdalenes in Southern France.
Trusting our feet, our journey continues as we follow the rose path through the Aude valley and Bugarach, where the Magdalenes are said to have set up their ministry upon fleeing Jerusalem.
Dotted between mountain and stream, an abundance of places hidden & known invite us into communion with them as we anchor more deeply into our centre.
In this rugged landscape, we unfurl the petals of our hearts, remembering that the answers which we seek exist within the Earth herself, and to those who have ears to hear- She speaks.
Surrendering to the dark light of the cave, our inner eyes open, recognising our part to play in the dance of creation.
The Magdalene legend has woven its way into this place like a river carving through rock, a myth with a soul more true than any historians account.
With our bare hearts and feet, we invite an embodied encounter with these living mysteries, revealing the interconnection between Matter & Spirit, Earth Mother & Sky Mother, as we actively participate in the Mystery as it is being lived through us - unveiling the Druid Rose, the remembrance that all is holy & whole, held in the sacred Web of Life.

Our Pilgrimage to the living Venus Temple of the South of France is an alchemical immersion into the Dragon Rose Line and the Feminine Mysteries of Gaia.
At each sacred site, you will encounter a lifting of the Veil through insight, activations, and direct revelation, awakening the codes of your unique frequency that wishes to bloom at this time.
This area is ripe with the legends of the life of Mary Magdalene, who, as the story goes, built a community here in this valley after fleeing persecution.

I arrived at Bugarach carrying longing in my bones — longing for connection, for healing, for the gentle fierceness of sacred sisterhood. What I found was far deeper than I dared hope: a pilgrimage into my own womb-space, a reawakening of ancient knowing, held in the embrace of mountains, rose-scented ceremonies, and soft yet powerful sisterhood.
Throughout the 9 days pilgrimage, workshops, rituals, and ceremonies invited us to embody the rose-path: to tend our inner garden, to honour our womb-wisdom, to feel the cycles of growth, blooming, wilting, and rebirth — just like the rose.
We moved, we danced, we cried, we laughed. We descended into grief, then rose again in song — each ritual, each sound bath, each moment of silence felt like a healing invocation. The lineage of Mary Magdalene was about allowing ourselves to be held, seen, and honored in our fullness, with all our wounds and all our light.
The group held ablessing ceremony for me before my marriage — a moment I will never forget.
Surrounded by women who had walked their own paths of love, loss, rebirth, and devotion, I stood in the center of a circle and received prayers, intentions, and blessings for my union. It felt like being carried by an ancient power of women — held in a field of love, protection, and grace.

What makes this retreat special:
Many of the sites we journey to are the lesser known, hidden and hard to find sacred sites of the Magdalene and Earth Mysteries.
The cave we visit in the Bugarach mountain, isn't on any map, and even most of the locals don't know how to find.
It is through many years of devotion, dedication, and service to the spirit and soul of these lands that the door has opened to hold pilgrimages here since 2023, in honour of my ancestors who came from these mountains, and my years living in the Aude valley.

Over the course of the Pilgrimage, we will be staying at a gorgeous restored hamlet known as “the valley of God" in the region of Occitanie.
The land has an ancient oak tree, with a viewpoint of Mount Bugarach and the surrounding valleys of Rennes-les-Bains and Rennes-les-Château.
Your booking includes space in a dorm room or camping spot.

Most of our journey will take place out on the land, exploring the magical region of Southern France, filled with verdant valleys, crystalline waters, and misty peaks.
Because of this, our schedule will flow and adapt naturally.
However, this is generally what you can expect during our pilgrimage days.
PILGRIMAGE DAY
7:00 AM: Sunrise Practice
Gentle Awakening Flow, Womb Yoga and Mudra Sequences, Vocal Attunement
8:00 AM: Breakfast at the Retreat Centre
9:30 AM: Depart for Pilgrimage Excursions
Caves, rivers, ancient churches, mountain peaks, sacred springs, and druid labyrinths & megaliths
1:00 PM: Lunch
Packed picnic or local restaurant
5:00 PM: Return to the Venue
Rest and recalibration
6:30 PM: Dinner
3-course gourmet meal
7:30 PM: Rest or Evening Ceremony
Examples include sound healing, fire circle, poetry and song, or sensuality and embodiment
We have also integrated several rest days into our programme.
On these days, we will remain at the venue for deeper integration, sharing circles, and ceremony, with plenty of time to journal, rest, and reflect.
There will be 2–3 days structured in this way, depending on the needs and flow of the group, alongside at least 6 full pilgrimage days.

Our 9 full days journeying together will be a descent into the feminine heart, with 3 trimesters leading us deeper into its essence.

The Sites we visit may vary slightly depending on the weather and the needs of the group.

The food will be cooked by our host at Lavaldieu, who has 25 years of experience cooking.
Food will be vegetarian and organic, with the option to supplement with local fare and meat when we eat out at restaurants.
Breakfast, a picnic lunch, and a 3-course dinner are included, plus some treats and snacks.
If you need extra items, please ask your pick-up driver to take you to the organic shop en route.

Food is sourced locally & made with high quality nourishing ingredients - drinking water direct from the spring on the land. This area is famous for its mineral rich mountain springs, and organic & biodynamic farming practices. Prices vary depending on when you decide to book.

I am Bryony Rose. I work with a multidisciplinary approach, with tools encompassing my broad life experience & training : ~ more than a decade dedicated to womb work & somatics, 7 years of study in a pathway of female animism & ritual, a life-long love of Earth & her flowers, with more than 5 years learning through expert teachers the art of vibrational medicine & healing,~ & I continue to study and grow, anchoring it through my own embodiment.
My connection to the lands of South of France, runs through my blood and my lineage ~ my ancestors came from the Pyrenees mountains, and are believed to have practiced in the Cathar faith, later becoming Huguenots, and having to flee continued persecution. In this life I have spent some years both living and questing on these lands, rekindling an ancient flame of remembrance in my flesh and soul. For me it is a relationship, that I am called here as the land calls for me. I endeavour to guide those who feel the longing to journey here, with the deepest care and integrity, and deep recognition of its untamed wildness and a place of sanctuary.

I am Anna May Adella.
I carry the name of my maternal and paternal grandmothers, a merging of the rivers of wisdom alive within my bloodlines.
I am the keeper of the Golden Circle of Light, a spiritual circle passed through three generations of my family.
I am in complete submission to the guidance of the spirit in my life, which has been a deep initiation over the past 15 years.
Having studied many different lineages, from shamanic traditions to the mystical Essene tradition, I have been driven by the curiosity and power of the ancient languages and the vibration and truth of the Earth's original prayers.
I have been guiding soul constellations through the sacred sites of Europe, Egypt, and the Americas for the past 10 years.
